Bio

Rebecca Margolis, DO, FAOCA is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she is Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and the inaugural Director of Well-Being for the Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine. She is the Founder of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia’s Well-Being Committee and Vice Chair of the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ Committee on Physician Well-Being. Her academic focus centers on clinician sustainability and designing practical, realistic, systems-level solutions that strengthen workforce longevity and support clinicians after adverse events. A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Margolis helps lead national well-being education efforts, contributes to trainee pipeline development, and serves as an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology. Her clinical interests include thoracic anesthesia and one-lung ventilation, and her research interests include clinician support systems, obstructive sleep apnea, and medical education. She completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, anesthesiology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, and fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
