Bio

Dr. Fernando Beltramo is an attending physician, an intensivist, and Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, California. He received his medical degree from Austral University in Buenos Aires and completed his pediatric and critical care training in Miami and Los Angeles, including a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellowship at CHLA. Board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Beltramo has held key leadership roles at CHLA since 2017 and has served as Medical Director of the PICU since 2018, leading major operational and capacity-expansion initiatives. His academic interests include neurocritical care, hemodynamic monitoring, renal replacement therapies, and outcomes research in critically ill children, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and a strong commitment to education, mentorship, and patient advocacy.
