Bio

Aditee Parag Ambardekar, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She serves as the department’s Residency Program Director and conducts her clinical practice at Parkland Memorial Hospital and Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She specializes in pediatric burn anesthesia. Dr. Ambardekar earned her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania and received advanced training in pediatric anesthesiology through a fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology, Dr. Ambardekar joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2014. Dr. Ambardekar’s research interests include pediatric burn anesthesia, medical education, and simulation-based education. She previously volunteered with the Review Committee for Anesthesiology at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and was the Chair of the Committee from 2020-2023. Dr. Ambardekar is also an applied examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Ambardekar holds the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management’s Distinguished Teaching Professorship.
